16 places are available for Australia/NZ players via the Australian Open qualifiers to the Australian Open Players Championship. Players will also have the opportunity to "Buy in" to the main event (Subject to close off date). The event will carry PDC Order of merit points as well as AGP Order of merit and Grand Slam qualifier (Grand Slam qualifier and AGP order of merit are for Australian/NZ players only and based on TOTAL money earned from the William Cross Pro Am, Shoalhaven Classic I and II and the Australian Open). The Australian Open carries over $44,100.00 in Prize money*. (prize money based on currency exchange)
 

This tournament will be played over the best of five sets, best of three legs throughout.
The top 32 players (in attendance) from the PDC Order of Merit at the closing date for entries will be seeded to the last stage. The usual DRA rules in terms of dress codes, sponsorship etc. will be enforced at this event, including rules and regulations of the DPA.
